As the seasons change...

There’s something so gentle and beautiful about the seasons changing. You almost miss it at first, the air feels colder and the day shortens bit by bit.

Life is full over here , five little ones and meals to cook, endless tiny socks to match and of course Ivy & Plume is always ticking on in the background. It can be a lot. Most days it is. But I’ve learnt (sometimes the hard way) how important it is to carve out little moments of calm, even in the middle of busy life.

For me, journaling is one of those simple joys. It doesn’t have to be long or perfect, some days it's just a scribbled list of things l’m grateful for, or a doodle while the kids paint beside me. But there’s something about putting pen to paper that helps me gather my thoughts and notice the beauty in our ordinary days.

Crafting is another way we slow down together. Whether it’s pressing flowers we picked on a walk, making a little collage, making tiny air dry clay sculptures with the children, it gives us a chance to pause. To create something just for the joy of it.

What l love most is that it doesn't take hours to feel the benefits. Even ten quiet minutes can help us unwind. It’s a small way to welcome to the new season.

So as the season changes again, I hope you’ll find your own little ways to slow down. Light a candle, pour a cup of tea, pick up your journal or gather your family around the table for something crafty. It doesn't have to be fancy, just something that makes your stop and smile.

Sending a little encouragement your way,

Kimberley x
